I am deeply sad to hear about Len Aldis’s death. As a beloved friend of Vietnam, he has dedicated his whole life to promoting friendship between British and Vietnamese peoples and has made endless efforts to support Vietnam, notably in struggling for justice for Vietnamese victims of Agent Orange. On behalf of the Embassy of Vietnam in the UK and in my own name, I would like to offer the deepest condolences to the Britain – Vietnam Friendship Society and the family of Len Aldis. I still remember the last time we met before his trip to Vietnam in April 2015, Len wondered whether he could visit Vietnam anymore.
